  1. Who we areThis website is run by Makap Pty Ltd trading as Idea Reality Check (ABN 82 130 715 034), “we” in this policy. You can reach us at murray@murraymcleod.com, on 0413 838 299, or at PO Box 364, Miranda NSW 1490.
  2. What we collectWhat you send us through the enquiry forms and the idea quiz: your name, email address and phone number, your business name if you give it, which service you’re asking about, what you tell us about your idea or business, how you heard about us, and your quiz answers. We also keep what you send us by email or tell us by phone.
  3. Why we collect itTo reply to your enquiry, to provide the services you ask for, and to keep a record of our work for you. We don’t use it for anything else without asking you first.
  4. Your ideaPlease describe your idea in general terms only until we have both signed a confidentiality agreement. Anything you share after that is covered by the agreement as well as by this policy.
  5. Who we share it withOnly the services that run the site: Vercel, which hosts it; Resend, which delivers form messages to us; and Microsoft Clarity, which records how the site is used. They may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
  6. Visitor statistics and cookiesWe use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use the site, so we can make it clearer: which pages are visited, where people click and scroll, and recordings of visits with what you type into forms hidden. It uses cookies and doesn’t tell us who you are. Microsoft’s privacy statement explains how it handles this data. You can block cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works.
  7. Keeping it safeWe keep your information only as long as we need it to reply to you, provide the services and meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
  8. Seeing or correcting your informationYou can ask to see the information we hold about you, or to correct it, by emailing murray@murraymcleod.com. We will reply within 30 days.
  9. ComplaintsIf you’re unhappy with how we have handled your information, email murray@murraymcleod.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
  10. Changes to this policyWe may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
